The training was held within the framework of the International Scientific-Practical Conference
On October 06-08, 2023, the requirements of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijan Medical University, the requirements of the Naftalan City Executive Authority and Health Scientific Research were held in Naftalan within the framework of the international Scientific-Practical Conference "Source of Health and Tourism Synergy. Development Strategy of the International Tourism Center" organized by the Institute of Medical Rehabilitation, the 1st regional training on “Stroke rehabilitation and Electrostimulation” was held.
Responsible employees of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible employees of Naftalan city Executive Power and doctors from different regions of Azerbaijan (neurologists, rehabilitators, physiotherapists, family doctors, and paramedics) took part in the training.
The purpose of the training was to organize the rehabilitation of stroke patients, to convey the scientific and practical innovations in this field to practicing doctors.
In the training, doctors trained in Europe shared their knowledge about the treatment of swallowing disorders in stroke patients. At the same time, they were trained in the types of electrostimulation, which play an important role in the rehabilitation of stroke patients.
At the end, the participants were awarded with certificates and continuing medical education (CME) credit points.
