The next awareness-raising event was held
The next educational event on the topic "The Importance of Efficient Use of Water Resources" was held by the Naftalan City Executive Power in order to ensure the implementation of paragraph 7.1 of the Action Plan "On Additional Measures to Ensure Efficient Use of Water Resources", approved by Order No. 2178 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event was attended by employees of the City Executive Power, Regional Ecology and Natural Resources Department No. 10 of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, representatives of the city and rural administrative territorial districts, municipality members, and employees of relevant departments, enterprises and organizations operating in the city.
Recently, due to climate change around the world and the decrease in the volume of groundwater sources, the importance of ensuring the efficient use of existing water resources in domestic and agricultural use has been discussed. It was noted that a special headquarters has been established to ensure the efficient use of water resources during irrigation in the city, manage water resources, and coordinate activities in this area. The importance of replacing traditional irrigation systems with new and modern intensive irrigation systems was emphasized, suggestions were made, and the need for urgent measures was brought to the attention of the event participants. The importance of educating the population on the efficient use of water was also noted and questions were answered.
