In Naftalan, young athletes were presented with sportswear and balls
A meeting with young athletes was held in the city jointly organized by Naftalan City Executive Power and AFFA.
The event was attended by the head of the city Executive Power Vugar Novruzov, deputies Anar Mammadov, Arzu Nagiyev and I vice-president of AFFA, president of the Children and Youth Football Federation Rauf Aliyev.
At the meeting, the head of Executive Power noted that the successful sports and youth policy pursued by our esteemed President Mr. Ilham Aliyev plays an important role in shaping a healthy future. Today, as a result of this policy, our country, like other areas, has achieved numerous successes in the field of sports and is recognized as a sports country in the world. He also stressed that according to the instructions and recommendations given by the head of the country at the ceremony dedicated to the sports results of 2022 for the health of people and the development of sports as a whole, various sports facilities were installed in the parks in order to ensure the physical activity of the population by the city executive power.
Deputy Rauf Aliyev said that the project was successfully implemented and thousands of children and adolescents were involved.
Deputy Anar Mammadov noted that holding events based on the project “let's develop sports in the villages" will give an impetus to the development and popularity of sports in Naftalan. Deputy Arzu Nagiyev stressed that this project is a step towards the implementation of the recommendations of the head of state on the development of sports in the villages during his meeting with athletes at the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan on December 29, 2019.
Within the framework of the project, 40 school children participating in the event were given sportswear and balls to increase their interest in football. At the end of the meeting, a symbolic game was held with young players and coaches.
It should be noted that the purpose of the project is to effectively organize the leisure of children and adolescents, to create interest in football and sports in them, to promote a healthy lifestyle.
