September 27 – Memorial Day
On September 27, 2020, in order to prevent the next provocation of the Armenian armed forces to Azerbaijan, under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, as a result of the counter-offensive operation of our Brave Army, our lands, which were under the enemy's foothold for many years, were freed from the enemy's foothold.
The celebration of the Patriotic War is not only the liberation of the occupied lands from the enemy, but at the same time, it is a demonstration to the whole world of the high national identity of the Azerbaijani people.
An event related to September 27 – Memorial Day was organized by the Naftalan City Executive Power.
The event was attended by the head of the city Executive Power, the heads of law enforcement agencies, the chairman of the YAP Naftalan city organization, the chairman of the city Council of Elders, families of martyrs, veterans, intellectuals, representatives of the city community.
The Memorial Complex erected as a sign of respect to the memory of the martyrs was visited, flower bouquets were arranged, and the memory of the martyrs was commemorated with respect.
Later, a tree planting action was held.
As everywhere in the republic, at 12:00, the memory of our martyrs, who fought heroically in the city and sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country, was commemorated with a minute of silence.
