Naftalan oil will be certified
Work is underway on the certification of naftalan oil.
This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Rashad Aliyev, during his speech at the Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum panel "Prospects for the development of health tourism in Azerbaijan" held at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
According to him, work is currently being done on the process of certification of Naftalan oil together with the Ministry of Health and the Health Tourism Association of Germany, and an action plan is being prepared. It is a very extensive process. The main part of the certification will start from SOCAR.
One of the first places that comes to mind when talking about “health tourism” is the city of Naftalan. Here, certain procedures are carried out using Naftalan oil. The tourism development concept of Naftalan was developed together with the Naftalan City Executive Power. The main line of that concept is health tourism itself. The most authoritative project related to Naftalan is the project related to the plan of additional measures to increase the role of Naftalan oil in the development of health tourism. That project is nearing completion. Within the framework of the project, we will bring a general strategic approach to Naftalan oil. After the approval of the project, the process of international certification of Naftalan oil will be started.
Most of the tourists who come to Naftalan in connection with health tourism in Azerbaijan are from the CIS countries. The State Tourism Agency presents the tourism potential of Azerbaijan at exhibitions and events held in foreign countries. However, one of the barriers facing us in attracting tourists from Western countries to Naftalan is the lack of international certification of Naftalan oil. After the certification is over, there will be a huge influx of tourists to Naftalan.
