Naftalan City Municipality was the first municipality in our country to receive the international standard ISO 9001:2015

The international standard ISO 9001:2015, which defines the requirements for the quality management system, was developed by the Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) with the participation of experts from 95 countries of the world.

It includes benefits such as efficient organization of management, proper control of processes, improvement of the professionalism of employees, improvement of quality, proper documentation, formation of a continuous improvement system, reduction of risks and creation of stability, proper distribution of powers and establishment of an interaction system, efficient use of resources, and increase of citizen satisfaction. works have been successfully carried out in Naftalan City Municipality in the direction of researching, studying and applying the requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 "Quality management systems-requirements" International Standardization, which is currently the most widely applied in the world.

It was registered in the Register of Standard International Certificates and included in the global list.

It will be important to establish a management system of the municipality's activity according to the ISO 9001:2015 international standard, to apply a risk-based approach, to create internal rules and procedures, to provide communication and interactive training to employees.

The implementation of the mentioned standard will make a significant contribution to increasing the effectiveness of management in the operation of the municipality and ensuring citizen satisfaction.

Also, the application of the standard will create an opportunity to form a new way of thinking in the relations between the citizen and the municipality, to increase the transparency of the municipality in the implementation of its daily activities and the consideration of citizen appeals, to effectively fulfill the requirements of the legislation in the relevant field, and to lead to positive changes in management.

It must be noted that Naftalan City Municipality is a member of the board of the National Association of City Municipalities.

Naftalan municipality was declared the winner by joining the project created within the framework of the initiative of Mayors of Municipalities Supporting Economic Development implemented by the European Union and awarded with the "Urban Imaginaries 2022" certificate.

He also participated in the "Future Fit Cities" city forum held in October 2023 in Batumi, Georgia by the "Nations Development Programme" organization and was awarded the "M4EG Urban Imaginaries" certificate.
