Measures related to the brown marmorated stink bug are ongoing
The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan continues its awareness-raising activities to prevent the spread of the brown marmorated stink bug on the country's territory.
As part of the measures, phytosanitary inspectors of the Agency carried out monitoring in the city and village areas of Naftalan. During the monitoring, pheromone traps were installed in yards to detect the brown marmorated stink bug. In addition, detailed information was provided to the local population about the damage caused by this pest.
It should be noted that the brown marmorated stink bug feeds on more than 300 plants, significantly reducing their productivity. The population is urged to be active and vigilant in the fight against this pest and to take appropriate measures.
