Khojaly tragedy - 33 years
The memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy was commemorated with respect in the city of Naftalan. The event was attended by the head of the City Executive Power, heads of law enforcement agencies, the chairman of the Naftalan city organization of the New Azerbaijan Party, and representatives of the city community.
During the commemoration event, the "Memorial Complex of Those Who Died for the Homeland", erected in memory of the Martyrs was visited, flowers were laid and prayers were recited for their souls.
The Khojaly tragedy, a bloody crime committed as a result of Armenia's territorial claims against Azerbaijan and the ethnic cleansing policy pursued by the Armenian usurpers against our people, stands out for its particular cruelty. This tragedy is the most serious crime committed not only against our people, but also against all of humanity.
Strong political will, solid economic potential, a powerful army, unity of the people and leaders, great morale in society, patriotism, and determination ensured the historic Victory, and the avenging of our martyrs, as well as the victims of Khojaly was achieved.
