Great gladness in Naftalan – Victory Day
An event was organized in the city of Naftalan in connection with the third anniversary of the 44-day Patriotic War. The event was attended by the head of the Security Council, heads of law enforcement agencies, families of martyrs, veterans, participants in the Patriotic War, heads of administrations, enterprises, organizations, public representatives, intellectuals, young people, and tourists.
The event started with a look at the stands reflecting the life and creativity of the Great Leader at the Heydar Aliyev Center. Later, an exhibition on the topic of the Patriotic War was visited.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the head of the executive congratulated the people of Naftalan and the guests of our city on the occasion of the holiday. He emphasized that under the leadership of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev's will, executed by our Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the President of the leading state in the region, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the valiant Azerbaijani Army, during the 30-year occupation of our lands, launched the Patriotic War to liberate our territories from the enemy's occupation. The war led by President Ilham Aliyev resulted in the victory of Azerbaijan, culminating in the complete defeat and capitulation of the enemy.
The event continued with a concert program, the singer of military patriotic songs Shamistan Alizamanli, who participated in the concert as a special guest, as well as local singers performed their performances.
At the end, a commemorative gift prepared on the special order of the Naftalan City Executive Power, in connection with the 100th anniversary of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, was presented to the families of martyrs, and a memorial photo was taken.
