December 3 is International Day of Persons With Disabilities
With the joint organization of Naftalan City Executive Power and Naftalan Rehabilitation Center, an event was held on the occasion of December 3 – International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
At the event, the responsible employees of the Executive Power, the chairman of the city Council of Elders, the head of the Naftalan reception department of the Ganja Dashkasan Regional branch of the State Social Protection Fund Public Legal Entity under the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, employees of the Rehabilitation Center, heads of other departments, enterprises and organizations, a group from Naftalan In addition to people with disabilities, the disabled and veterans treated at the Center from different regions of our republic participated.
At the event, the dear memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who died for the freedom of our land was commemorated with a minute of silence.
December 3 - International Day of Persons with Disabilities was officially celebrated in our country after National Leader Heydar Aliyev came to power. It was also noted that, according to the relevant decrees and orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev, important steps are being taken in the direction of increasing the social welfare of such people, improving housing and living conditions, conducting treatment and recovery courses at the expense of state funds in our republic, as well as in various countries.
The disabled people who spoke at the event expressed their deep gratitude to the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, and the Honorable First Vice-President, Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva, for the attention and care shown.
December 3 – a video prepared in connection with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was shown, participants got acquainted with an exhibition of handicrafts made by persons with disabilities.
The event continued with a concert program.
