December 12-Memorial Day of national leader Heydar Aliyev
On December 12, 2024, a memorial event was held in Naftalan to commemorate the 21st anniversary of the passing of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. The memorial event was attended by the head of the City Executive Power, heads of law enforcement agencies, chairmen of the Naftalan city organization of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP), the City Council of Elders, families of martyrs and veterans, heads of departments, enterprises, organizations, representatives of the city community, and intellectuals.
First, the event participants visited the monument to the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and paid tribute to his dear memory.
At the event, the memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of our lands was commemorated with a minute of silence.
The head of the city executive power spoke about the unparalleled services to the Homeland and the people of the founder and architect of the independent Azerbaijani state, world-famous politician, statesman, and National Leader Heydar Aliyev during all periods of his leadership of our republic. He noted that the policy laid down by the Great Leader is being successfully continued by the President of the country, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
The City Executive Power opened a charity table for the families of martyrs, veterans, and the city community on the occasion of the commemoration day of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
