An educational event on “Healthy and rational nutrition” was held in Naftalan
In order to ensure the implementation of paragraphs 10.12.3; 10.12.4; 10.12.5, provided for by the State Program for Ensuring Food Security in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2019-2025, approved by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 29, 2019 No. 1143, an event was held on the theme “Healthy and rational nutrition".
The event was attended by the deputy and responsible employees of the Executive Committee of Naftalan City, employees of the Ganja-Dashkesan regional branch of the Food Security Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, medical and educational workers, representatives of medical centers.
The participants were provided with detailed information about the provisions of the new law in the field of food safety, about what complications can cause improper nutrition in the human body, as well as about the positive impact of a healthy diet on a person. Recommendations were also given on the content of information on food labels, including canned food, explanation of symbols and signs on the label, description and prevention of food poisoning of bacterial origin, important points related to information on the label when buying products were brought to attention.
At the end, the participants' questions were answered, information booklets on food safety were distributed.
The educational event is aimed at further strengthening the mechanisms of public control, providing for the active participation of citizens in the process of ensuring food security in the city of Naftalan, conducting propaganda work in the direction of healthy and rational nutrition.
