A festive event was held in Naftalan
A festive event was organized in Naftalan on the occasion of "December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis" and "New Year's holiday".
The head of the City Executive Power, heads of law enforcement agencies, chairman of the City Council of Elders, families of martyrs, veterans and their family members, participants of the Patriotic War, public representatives, and tourists took part in the holiday event.
The participants of the event viewed the photo-exhibits that reflect the glorious life path of the National Leader at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Opening the event with an introductory speech, the city head congratulated the people of Naftalan and the guests of our city on the occasion of the holiday. He noted that the establishment of "December 31 - Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis" is connected with the name of outstanding political and statesman Heydar Aliyev. Solidarity Day is the embodiment of national unity, love for Azerbaijan, respect for our national and moral values. The development path of our nation, which was founded by our Great Leader Heydar Aliyev, is successfully continued today by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The historical year that we are about to launch, the "Year of Heydar Aliyev", will forever be written in golden letters in the history of our people as the year when the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was ensured after 30 years of occupation.
The event continued with a concert program accompanied by colorful performances by cultural and artistic figures.
At the end, Santa Claus and Snow Maiden presented holiday gifts to the participating children.
The event was jointly organized by Naftalan City Executive Power and Ganja-Dashkasan Regional Culture Department.
