The campaign initiated by the First Vice President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva to plant 650,000 trees in one day, on the occasion of the 650th anniversary of Azerbaijani great poet and thinker Imadeddin Nasimi. The event was held on on December 6, 2019 in our country, including Naftalan with the participation of Mayor Vugar Novruzov.
City residents are eager to participate in this noble initiative, which will contribute to the growth of greenery and improving the environment.
The action was held in Sh. Gurbanov, Z. Tagiyev, I. Nasimi streets, at the intersection of Sh. Gurbanov and Z. Tagiyev streets, Shirvan avenue and S. Vurgun park.
During the action with national spirit music, a total of 3,000 Eldar pines, tuya and plane trees were planted by the city's departments, initiatives and service organizations. In addition to having a positive effect on human health, planted trees added new hues to the overall landscape of the resort town of Naftalan.
