New tourism and health centers are being built in Naftalan
The instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, on the development of entrepreneurship in the country, increasing employment, attracting investment and creating new jobs are also in the spotlight in Naftalan. As a result of the work done in Naftalan in recent years, the dynamics of growth in the number of tourists coming here has made it necessary to build new tourism and health facilities in the city. Currently, 3 new tourist centers are being built in the city. Four-storey 288-seat Gold Naftalan located on Nizami Ganjavi Street. The center consists of 144 rooms. There are also technical and auxiliary rooms in the basement of the center, laundry, treatment pool, warehouse, dining room on the 1st floor, staff rooms, doctor's rooms on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors, 108 bedrooms and 36 bedrooms in the attic. In addition, a new four-storey sanatorium complex located at 11 Nizami Street is under construction. Technical rooms, gym, massage rooms, storage rooms, dining room on the 1st floor, staff rooms,doctor's rooms, laundry, 67 bedrooms on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th floors in the basement floor of this 88-room 192-bed sanatorium, There are 21 bedrooms in the attic.Another modern sanatorium, which is currently under construction, is situated at 64 A R. Zulfigarov Street. The new complex consists of a five-storey treatment and polyclinic building and a five-storey dormitory building with 88 rooms and 176 beds. In the basement of the medical-polyclinic building there will be technical and auxiliary rooms, laundry, warehouse, bathroom and nurse rooms on the 1st floor, doctor and staff rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors, and a dining room on the 4th floor. It should be noted that currently there are 11 tourist facilities in Naftalan, which employs about 1,100 people. In 2019, the number of tourists visiting the city went up compared to previous years and reached 40,000. About 40 percent of them came from abroad. After the commissioning of tourism facilities under construction in the city, it will be possible to provide modern restaurants, hotels and medical services to about 3,800 tourists a day in Naftalan. Also, the number of people working in tourism facilities will reach 1,500.
