The number of tourists visiting Naftalan to celebrate the New Year has increased
The city of Naftalan drawing foreign tourists not only in the hot summer season, but also in the cold winter months due to both its medical oil and the modern tourism infrastructure created here in recent years. Over the last few years, local and foreign guests have preferred to celebrate the New Year and the subsequent holidays in this resort town. There has been a substantial growth in the number of local and foreign tourists visiting Naftalan on the occasion of December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year. Concerts with the participation of well-known musicians, various events and specially prepared recreational programs were organized in the hotels to make the New Year's holiday meaningful and memorable for the guests. In addition, on the eve of the holidays, sanatoriums will organize excursions to other picturesque regions of the country for more meaningful recreation of tourists. Contemporary hotels and resorts in Naftalan served a total of about 2,000 local and foreign tourists on New Year's Eve. This figure is expected to rise during the holidays. The root cause for all this is the creation of modern tourism infrastructure in the city and the improvement of tourist services as a result of the implementation of the instructions given by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to develop and renovate the former glory of the resort city of Naftalan.
