Warning of the Bureau of Hydrometeorological forecasts
It is expected that the weather will change starting from the mountainous areas on January 10th, becoming unstable and intermittently rainy until the 12th. In some places, sleet and in mountainous and foothill regions, snow is anticipated. There is a possibility of intense precipitation in some areas (Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, Gazakh-Ganja, Balakan-Sheki, Guba-Qusar).
The west wind will strengthen to 15-20 m/s, occasionally reaching up to 25-30 m/s mainly in mountainous and foothill regions.
Compared to the previous days, the temperature will drop by 5-10°, with night temperatures in lowland areas at 0-5° Celsius warm, daytime temperatures at 6-11° Celsius warm, while in mountainous areas, night temperatures at 6-11° Celsius frost and daytime temperatures at 0-5° Celsius frost are expected.
On the night of January 11th, there is a possibility of icy roads in some mountainous and foothill regions.
