The first event within the framework of the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” was held in Naftalan
In connection with the announcement of the year 2023 in the Republic of Azerbaijan as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in accordance with the calendar plan developed on the basis of the plan of events to be held during the year in the city of Naftalan, an event entitled ”meaningful life, rich political heritage of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev" was held at the Heydar Aliyev Center in Naftalan of the Ganja Regional Department of Culture Heydar Aliyev is an example for each of us.”
The event was attended by the chairman of the Naftalan city organization of the Yeni Azerbaijan Party (New Azerbaijan), responsible employees of the executive power of Naftalan city, enterprises of the Ganja Regional Department of Culture operating in Naftalan city, the chairman of the City Council of Elders, intellectuals and youth.
The participants of the event viewed photo exhibits at the Heydar Aliyev Center, reflecting the merits of the National Leader in the name of the glorious life path and progress of our country. Then they got acquainted with the exhibition of books reflecting the directions of the life and work of the Great Leader.
On the eve of the event, the National Anthem was performed, the memory of Great Leader Heydar Aliyev was honored with a minute of silence.
Speaking with the report, Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Faiga Aghayeva stressed that the life and political activity of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev occupies an exceptional place in our modern history, noting that looking back at the history of the development of any sphere, we witness the successful policy of Heydar Aliyev, his unprecedented merits. The years of his leadership of our country are imprinted in the memory of our history as a period of national awakening, progress, and the construction of an independent state.
Other speakers called the announcement of 2023 “The Year of Heydar Aliyev” in the Republic of Azerbaijan, approved by the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, a great historical event, bringing to the attention of the participants that this is a great opportunity for a closer study of the exceptional merits, rich life and activities of the brilliant personality of Heydar Aliyev in the development of Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev is a mighty personality, which successfully led its people out of the difficult historical and political trials of time and, consistently struggling, led them to independence.
The event ended with the composition “Historical Personality and Personality creating history” prepared by schoolchildren.
